Carmen Electra is an American model, actress, television personality, singer, and dancer. She was featured in Playboy in 1996 and again in 2003. Her profile is also known for her films like ‘Scary Movie’, ‘Get Over It’, ‘Meet the Spatans’, and ‘My Boss’s Daughter’ and ‘Disaster Movie’.
She was born as Tara Leigh Patrick in Sharonville, Ohio on 20th April, 1972. She went to Ann Weigel Elementary School. Carmen Electra grew up near Cincinnati, Ohio, in the town of White Oak. She had learnt dance at Dance Artists dance studio from Gloria J. Simpson.
In 1990, Electra began her professional career as a dancer at Kings Island amusement park in Mason, Ohio in the show ‘It’s Magic’. Her profile got discovered when a scout for Prince spotted her fronting for a rap group in Los Angeles. She began a short career as a singer and released a self-titled album for Prince’s Paisley Park label in 1992. It was Prince who changed her name from Tara Leigh Patrick to Carmen Electra. In 1995, her career in TV began. But the biggest break was yet to come in 2006 when she posed in the ‘Playboy’ magazine in 1997. This exposure gave way to high profile appearances on TV, and she grabbed regular roles on ‘Baywatch’ and MTV’s ‘Singled Out’. She has been featured on the cover of ‘Playboy’ 3 times including the in January 2009, 55th anniversary Issue. Carmen has since made the move to the big screen and can be seen in many movies like ‘Scary Movie’, ‘Dirty Love’, ‘Starsky & Hutch’ (for which she won an MTV Movie Award (best kiss)) and so on. Carmen won the role as the face of MAX Factor in their television and print ads.
