ED: Searches after issue of warrants under Sec 17 of PMLA | India News


NEW DELHI: Refuting Congress rates that Enforcement Directorate searches on the Robert Vadra associates ended up unlawful, the agency on Saturday said that the directorate done all lookups as for every the approved procedure and paperwork and electronic proof seized throughout these lookups are staying examined.

“The directorate has carried out research operations on December 7 below PMLA (Prevention of Money Laundering Act) at a amount of premises in Delhi-NCR and Bengaluru by difficulty of research warrants less than area 17 of PMLA,” a senior ED official claimed.

The official claimed that the ED experienced executed these queries in link with its investigation in specified conditions relating to ownership of undisclosed property overseas.

The ED on Friday conducted queries at 6 premises in Delhi-NCR and Bengaluru on a few close associates of Vadra, son-in-regulation of Congress leader Sonia Gandhi.
