Eid Mubarak 2018, Eid al Fitr – A Famous Muslim Festival
Eid Ul-Fitr is the main festival of the Muslims. Like the other religion, Muslims have their own culture and festivals. They celebrate the happy festival of Eid after observing the Ramadan month. The Ramadan month ends when the new moon shines in the sky and the festival of Eid starts very next day. It is a three day holiday for Muslims. During this Ramadan month the people of Muslim religion do not eat anything at the day time. After Sun down they pray to their god, known as ‘Allah’ and then eat their meals.
Muslims believe that the Quran is sent down from heaven during this Ramadan month. Eid Al-Fitr, the festival of happiness comes after the end of this month of Fast for recurring happiness. It is also believed that one day near Mecca Muhammad was sitting alone. At this time Angel Gabriel came to him and asked him to read. But Prophet Muhammad did not know how to read. Then the angel made him learn how to read and taught him verses from the Quran. This great festival is followed by the Islamic calendar. With utmost devotion the people of Muslim religion celebrate this festival.

On the day of Eid Ul-Fitr people wake up early in the morning and then they complete their prayers. The prayers are arranged in all the mosques around the world and in large open areas. After ending the prayers they come back home and take their breakfast. They not only wish a happy Eid to their relatives and neighbors of their own community but also invite friends of other religion to their home. Eid Ul-Fitr is a festival that makes people to celebrate all the good things in life. In this day the Muslims visit one place to another throughout the day and enjoy the day with great fun and joy.
