‘Gracious in defeat’: Chauhan, Raje win hearts at oath-taking ceremonies | India News

NEW DELHI: Rajasthan and Madhya Pradesh observed an intense campaigning by both equally the BJP and Congress for the assembly polls and the bitter war of words and phrases ongoing till the past day of the election approach.

Having said that on Monday, the two defeated BJP main ministers of Madhya Pradesh and Rajasthan were being a symbol of grace and sportsmanship throughout the oath-taking ceremony of Kamal Nath and Ashok Gehlot, respectively.

In Madhya Pradesh, former CM Shivraj Singh Chauhan, the 3-time chief minister of the condition, was photographed with his successor and Jyotiraditya Scindia with arms lifted in the air in a jubiliant temper at the occasion.

Not only Chauhan but former Rajasthan main minister Vasundhara Raje could also be witnessed smiling and assembly Congress leaders cheerfully at the oath ceremony of Ashok Gehlot as the CM of the state.

Raje was observed hugging political rival and her nephew Jyotiraditya Scindia at the party which was admired on social media who known as her ‘graceful’.


The previous Rajasthan also shook arms with her successor Ashok Gehlot with a large smile on her experience throughout the ceremony.


The shots immediately garnered applaud of the Twitterati, praising the gestures of Chauhan and Raje. Lots of persons took to Twitter to share the image when commending the BJP leaders.
