The legendry actor and singer, Kishore Kumar (4 Aug 1929 – 13 Oct 1987), blessed Abhas K. Kanjilal was an Native Indian movie play-back musician and an acting professional who also proved helpful as lyricist, musician, producer , film director, movie writer and scriptwriter. Kishore Kumar performed in many Native Indian dialects such as Hindi, Bengali, Marathi, Assamese, Kannada , Gujarati, Bhojpuri , Oriya and Malayalam, Gujarati, He won total eight Film fare Prizes for Best Men Playback Singer and maintains the history for most variety of Film fare Prizes won in that classification. He was granted the “Lata Mangeshkar prize” by the government of Madhya Pradesh state and from that season forward, the government of Madhya Pradesh State, India, began a new prize known as the “Kishore Kumar prize” for his efforts to Hindi films.

Kishore was born and brought in a family of Ganguly in Khandwa, Berar, which is now in Madhya Pradesh. His dad Kunjalal Ganguly well known as Gangopadhya) was an attorney. His mom Gouri Devi came from a very rich Bengali family. He was the youngest of his four siblings, Ashok Kumar and Anoop Kumar were his brother and his only sister name was Sati Devi. The musician, Bappi Lahiri is a maternal relative of Kishore Kumar. While Kishore Kumar was a kid, his brother Ashok became a Bollywood acting professional. Getting together with Ashok Kumar, Kishore also began to take an eager attention in films and songs. He was great fan of singer cum actor Kundan L. Saigal, whom he regarded his mentor, and tried to adhere to along with Saigal is performing style.
