Mizoram polls: Counting to begin amid elaborate security arrangements on Tuesday | India News


AIZWAL: Counting of votes for the 40-member Mizoram Assembly will start from 8 am on Tuesday amid elaborate stability preparations, point out Chief Electoral Officer (CEO) Ashish Kundra stated.

The election was held on November 28 and its final result will make a decision irrespective of whether main minister Lal Thanhawla of the Congress will be ready to return for a third consecutive expression in office environment. Mizoram is the past bastion of the Congress in the northeast.

Counting will get started at 13 counting centres in the eight district headquarters, Kundra explained Monday.
